A four-week management course on Information Services will shortly be provided to students of Al Ain University and the Dubai Men’s college by the Department of Management Information Services (MIS) at the Sharjah Airport.
The course, which focuses on the role played by the MIS, will be, "a part of the curriculum", Dr.S.Sridhar,Director MIS said, yesterday.
Apart from several workshops and lectures related to the management services, "Students will be briefed on the major activities and procedures at the Sharjah Airport. They will also learn of how each department is related to the other", he added.
Major objective
Through such a course, students will

get to know more about current information systems and also learn of terms like a budget, fixed assets, payroll and cargo systems. In addition, they will be introduced to the latest in the field of information technology.
In the course’s final week, students will learn of security methods adopted at the airport and their reliability with reference to the established information systems.
Such courses were in keeping with the emirate’s strategy of considering higher education a major objective , Dr.Sridhar said.
"Sharjah has made great strides in providing educational services through its colleges and institutes. The Sharjah Airport has been keen to contribute to that continuing training of nationals by providing them high quality education." he said.
